Hi I'm Victoria K.

I'm a writer and editor for a humanitarian organization, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a California girl living in Utah and heading to the east coast. I love to read, write, play the piano, travel, dance, explore nature, and anything else that is active and exciting. I am married to a great man. I have an amazing and overly hyper family and I love my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it! I love going to church every Sunday and feeling the Holy Ghost tell me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true and restored gospel on Earth. I am Mormon because the lifestyle I lead while following the Mormon guidelines is one that brings me happiness. I am Mormon because the Church brings clarity and peace in my life even in hard times. I am Mormon because I believe in the temple blessings of eternal families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by staying close to my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I also live my faith by reading the scriptures which I know to be the word of God, attending church, and saying personal prayers directly to God. I know that God hears these prayers because of the continual confirmation in my soul that He hears me and loves me. I live my faith by learning the teachings of Jesus and emulating His actions by serving others.

What is the Relief Society?

Victoria K.
To me, Relief Society is a place where women are taken care of. It is the largest women's organization in the world for Mormon women who are 18 and older. Relief Society meets for one hour during church time and oftentimes meets during the week. Relief Society's purpose is to build personal righteousness, strengthen families, and help those in need. As a Mormon woman, I am part of Relief Society. I love Relief Society. I feel very loved and cared for as a member of the organization. I have made great friends through Relief Society and have been able to serve others and let others serve me. We make meals for women who are sick or who just had a baby. We meet together for fun activities like cooking club and book club. I teach the Relief Society yoga club and I have made amazing and lasting friendships with other women that way. We share good news with each other and share in the difficult trials together. Relief Society has blessed my life in so many ways; the women in it have made me feel like I have a friend when I'm going through hard times. Relief Society reminds me that there are good, strong women in the world who serve without expecting anything in return. Show more Show less
