Hi I'm Dick

I'm a retired USAF Pilot, College Professor, and Consultant! I love to photograph the wonders of God's creation. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, and welcome to my world. It seems I have made a career out of retiring. I retired first from the US Air Force in 1991 after flying KC-135 refueling aircraft, managing manufacturing efforts on new aircraft purchases and teaching at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Next, I retired from Minnesota State University Moorhead as a Professor of Management in the College of Business in 2005. My latest retirement came in 2011 after working as a consultant and product development and support analyst. I am focused right now on improving my photography skills. I love to photograph birds, but will photograph anything that stays in front of my lens long enough to make a "click."

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2011. I was baptized and confirmed on Easter Sunday. Being a Mormon provides for my spiritual needs in a way no other church was able to do. There is a strength in the Gospel, Teachings, members, and the church Elders that I find comforting, strengthening and supportive of my spiritual needs.

How I live my faith

Even though I have been a member of the church for only a few months, I am actively involved in working with the youth, planning family activities and supporting service projects within the surrounding communities. I try to live my life daily according to the word of God and His teachings.
