Hi I'm Diane

I grew up in Canada and love to decorate and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 5 and love it! I graduated with a degree in Interior Design and have worked on a off while I raised my children. I love all kinds of crafty ideas and enjoy building birdhouses with recycled materials which include wood, door knobs, door plates, old facets, wood trim and many other unsual things like antique kitchen utensils. Love to quilt, sew and cook. Christmas is my favorite time of year to decorate and come up with new ideas for the season.

Why I am a Mormon

Choosing to become a member of the church was easy for me. Growing up in a Catholic home my parents always taught me what they knew was the truth, however, I always felt there was something missing in my life. As I was finishing High School and became acquainted with a Mormon teenage girl who invited me to go to instiute with her and to LDS church activities. The institute group visited many church historical sites in regions of New York, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and that is where I first learned of the church. After a summer of learning about the gospel I was taught the missionary discussions and was baptized that fall. During that summer after visiting many of the places we travelled to, one of the young adults said to me, "what ever faith you choose, you must live it completely." So, I set out to become the most perfect Catholic and attended church to find an answer to my questions as to which faith made more sense to me. Little did I know, that decision was a step towards knowing the Mormon church was true because I became more prayerful and searched the for the truth. Before I was baptized the missionaries asked me to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover, which I did in approixmately in 24 days. I prayed about the truths in the book as I was reading and the pages unfolded to me many answers to questions. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, Jesus is the Christ and he does live, we have a loving Heavenly Father which we will see some day and Our families are eternal and can be reunited forever. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

The scriptures such as the Book of Mormon and the Bible, etc., are important part of my everyday life. They give my days meaning and direction solving many of my personal and family problems. As we help each other here in this life Our Heavenly Father has given us a road map to use in the scriptures. Sunday worship and serving in the church and the temple broadens my horizons and gives me a clearer understanding of what we are here on this earth to do, that is, bring others to the Savior and testify that he lives. I believe that life can be as simple or as complicated as we want to make it. I currently minister in the church as a leader over 265 women and oversee Sunday meetings as well and activities and visiting the poor and needy. This has been a very rewarding experience and it has strengthened my faith in the Savior and how we can help each other know him. The women of the church are great examples of courage, service, kindness, and the pure of love of Christ.
