I grew up in Denver, Colorado but my family currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a working college student that stays up late, likes junkfood, and always busy. I enjoy learning, reading, leading, and anything nerdy. But I also love hanging out with my friends, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I enjoy movies, games, and doing anything that involves the outdoors. I love sports! I enjoy watching a good game, and love to be out playing them too!! I like trying new things, the more daring and scary the better!! I love shopping, and I love clothes and accessories and anything girly!! I like organizing things and doing creative projects. I love FOOD and I love to eat and cook! I can't sing or dance or play an instrument, but I love music. I enjoy art and poetry. I enjoy planning parties and events. I love serving, helping people, and bringing a smile to someone's face. I enjoy growing my hair out and donating it to cancer foundations! I hate the cold weather and I am allergic to chocolate, and don't really like being in big groups of people. Swimming and being in the water scares me, but I am not afraid of bugs or creatures! I am Mexican and Tongan. My family is big, loud, and crazy, but they mean the world to me! My brothers and sister are my best friends!! And my aunts are uncles and cousins are my biggest fans!! I dream of traveling the world and learning another language. I hope to work internationally and make a difference in someone's life. I live life to the fullest, smile always, and laugh often! And I am HAPPY!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. But I have lived and followed this gospel my whole life because it is a part of who I am. I choose to be a member of this church because of the happiness it brings to my life. And because I can feel the love of God always. Being a member of this church is special because it is like no other church on earth. It means so much to know that we have a living prophet of God that leads our church, and that we have the Book of Mormon as a foundation of our beliefs. One of my favorite things about this church is that any where in the world I can find people who believe what I believe and are living the same standards as I am. And you always know so many people and have the biggest support system. It brings me great joy to know that we are one big family that strives to love all God's children. It is nice to be able to feel other people's love and be able to share in hardships, burdens, joys, and achievements. I am grateful for the humanitarian aid that the church provides to help those less-fortunate and in need of assistance. I am glad for the opportunities to help in times of war, natural disaster, and grief. I love being a Mormon because I know I am special. I know that God and Jesus Christ love me and see me as a divine women. I believe that God knows each person individually and has a plan for us and that if we follow Him we will find great happiness. I believe that being a member has helped me be able to love in more divine way, see people in different perspectives, and not judge, and be charitable. My heart and mind has been opened to know who I am and where I came from and where I am going after I die. I know that this church has helped me have greater faith and that God helps us in all things. I believe in miracles and I have witnessed them in my own life. I means a lot to know that there is a God who loves me enough to give me a Savior Jesus Christ and care for my every need. It is the greatest privilege and honor in my life to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by serving and helping other members. I have been able to participate in my church in many ways. When I was a child, I had to opportunity sing to the elderly, collect pennies for Africa, and clean the church building. As a youth I learned the importance of education, I learned how to be a good friend. I was able to lead the other youth to be good examples and make good choices. I also loved to plan and help coordinate activities and games that helped unify us and bring us closer to God. As an adult I have had the opportunity to serve the young women. I also have been in charge of planning and overseeing all church events and functions that reached out to all demographics and personality types. And many of these activities helped us be able to find ways to reach out to those in need both in our church and in the community. I teach the importance of family time and having time set aside to strengthen the family by teaching about the scriptures, having fun, and serving others. Recently I have been teaching young adults about the teachings and lessons within the Bible and how we can learn from the things therein and apply them to our lives. I teach how to be better examples and how to better follow the principles of our church. Then I also a leader of the women in particular and prepare them to be self reliant and prepare them for their role as women, wives, mothers, sisters, and caretakes. I help the women understand their divinity and that it is important to honor, respect, and love the men. I live my faith by being an example and living what I teach and making sure that others know that they are important Children of God. I believe that the best way to live my faith is to love those around me by serving them and helping them. Being an example and a good leader is important to me it shows that I love my faith and am dedicated to living the principles and then I can help others to be of great worth. I live my life as a Mormon!
