Hi I'm Janae

I'm a student. I'm a scientist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Upstate New York, and I'm a university student studying Physiology. The human body is a miracle that constantly amazes me; the more I learn about it, the more there is to learn! I like to swing dance, read, and play piano. I love my family and spend time with them as often as possible. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and my favorite color is purple.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons I am a Mormon. The number one reason I am a Mormon is because Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I know this is His church. I know this through prayer and the impressions of the Holy Ghost. Further confirmation comes through the blessings my family and I have received for doing our best to follow Jesus Christ and His appointed servants here on the earth.

How I live my faith

I strive to live a life of faith and hope focused on Jesus Christ. I do my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ and help others feel His love through my actions.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Janae
Jesus Christ is literally the Son of God. He is our Savior. As Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrews, He is "...the author and finisher of our faith." Jesus Christ suffered for our sins, imperfections, and shortcomings in Gethsemane and on the cross. Because of His sufferings, we can repent and be clean. Only through Christ can we return to live with Heavenly Father and our families forever after this life. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Janae
No one is required to serve a mission. Many people do serve missions simply because we feel we have been blessed to have the gospel in our lives, and we want to share our joy with others. Serving a mission is a particularly special way to help others feel the joy we have found in Christ and His gospel. Show more Show less
