Hi I'm Skyler

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I served a misson in California. I am married and I am attending college.

About Me

I am a husband to a beautiful hair stylist. I graduating in 2013 with my bachelor of arts in English, writing emphasis. I plan to go to law school. I love watching football. I played collegiate rugby for one year. I am a member of a collegiate national championship speech and debate team. I enjoy being with my family very much. Every single one of my siblings is a joy to be around. My parents are my heroes. My wife is so fun. I love being with her. Now our little baby has joined us and we love to make faces at each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow the LDS faith because I was taught its principles as a child. I continue to follow and believe because of my life's experiences. I have had open heart surgery, a tumor removed my leg, several broken bones, and many other irritable health issues. I have had miraculous healing processes because of my father holding the priesthood and blessing me when I was ill or injured. Also because of these many health issues, that truly seem small now, I love the promises of the resurrection that are taught in the LDS church. Those promises include that our bodies will be whole and perfect. We will never have physical pain again. I look forward to the day I am resurrected. I also love this gospel and its teaching because it promises, though the restored priesthood that Christ himself held, that I can live forever with my family, my Heavenly, and Jesus the Christ. These promises and opportunities I have had in my life keep me coming back and wanting more.

How I live my faith

I have had several opportunities to teach my peers and the children at my church and I enjoy teaching very much. I really like going to the temple with my wife. I served a mission in California. In California I learned a lot about the world and myself. Also there I learned to love people and enjoy eveyone's own individuality. It is each person's uniqueness that I love about people. As a husband I also enjoy the responsibility to gather my little family together for scripture study and prayer. I love to pray for my wife and hear her pray for me. I know my Heavenly Father listens and answers prayers.
