Hi I'm Camille

I’m a college student. I have 4 younger brothers. I love art. I'm accident prone. I’m a Mormon

About Me

I’m a college student studying art and business marketing. I love the fine arts and can never seem to get enough of them. I draw, sing, paint, and play the piano. I have the energy of a little child which can get me into trouble sometimes. I am a very outgoing person and love being around people. I am an optimistic person. I love the night sky, the moon, and the stars. I love quotes, but my favorite is “Be Happy”. I love traveling and hope to see all of my favorite cities one day but I have already been to Turkey to visit some of my family that lives there and hope to go back soon. I have four younger brothers that I love and are such wonderful examples to me. My parents are the most amazing people anyone could meet and are still in love after 22 years of marriage. I have the best of friends. We all met in high school and still get together often even though we are all going on our own paths. Two of the boys are on missions right now for this church. I love them and miss them but know that even though I don’t get to see them for two years that they are where they need to be. The Lord, my family, and friends come first in my life and I would do anything for them. I am who I am and I am never afraid to be myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. In my teen years though, I struggled and even though I was going to church I wasn't there for the right reasons. I had to go to the Lord and do some real soul searching about what I believed. I couldn’t rely on my parents or my leaders, it had to be all me and the Lord. No one else. I was slowly building my testimony. Over time and many small whisperings of the spirit I decided that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the only true church on the earth. I still struggle today with trials but I know that the Lord is going to be there for me and that the things that I hold dearest and that my most cherished desires for the future could only happen if I stayed on the path that my Heavenly Fathers wants for me. I know He is there for me and as long as He is on my side I can never lose. I could never deny the truth that I know; I could never doubt the truth that I know.

How I live my faith

I do the best that I can every day. I try to follow the spirit and the promptings that it gives me. In the church I am a ward missionary and help the full time missionaries as much as I can. I teach lessons in the Sunday School class that I am in. I am also on the institute counsel at my school and help plan activities and events for students from our institute and school to come participate, feel of our love, and make new friends. It's said that it's not the big things that make a difference but the small things we do every day that do. I try to find those small things that I can do for others and myself to show my Heavenly Father that I love him and honor him.
