Hi I'm Danica

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where the headquarters of the church are.

About Me

I am a 30 year old single woman with a zest for life. I am an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy books. I have played the piano for 24 years and the organ for 6 years. I love music, I believe it can cross all language, racial and socio-economical barriers to bring people together. I hope to make the world a better place by teaching children because as the saying goes they are our future. I love the natural beauty of this world and especially the mountains of Utah. I enjoy meeting new people and love to hear their stories. Experimenting in the kitchen is one of my favorite pastimes and cooking for people makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my understanding of the Lord's eternal plan is what helps me get through both tough and good times. I have found that a life without hope and faith in God and Jesus Christ is a bleak trail to trod. I am grateful that Jesus Christ would atone for my sins and I strive everyday to be worthy of the blessings I am given. The gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings me the peace and serenity that only trust in God can bring. I know that even on my worst days that I have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for me. There are times when life does not always go as I planned, but I know that in times of need I can turn to the Lord or His servants for help.

How I live my faith

I belong to a singles ward for people between the ages of 18 and 30. The great thing about a singles ward is that you can meet as single adults with a shared purpose to worship and learn of God. I find it a joy to meet with people who are in the same stage of life that I am and have the same struggles and questions that I do. I play the organ at our meetings and enjoy singing with the choir. One thing that I have been excited to do is family history. I enjoy feeling a connection to my ancestors and discovering how the events of their lives helped shape them.
