Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon. I'm blessed by the Gospel daily, helping me to be a better husband and father. That's what I love about my church!

About Me

I'm blessed to have a wonderful wife and beautiful children, all of which add variety and enrichment to my life. We enjoy traveling, camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. In the various places we've lived over the years, the Church has been a source of strength and stability. Having a ‘family’ everywhere you go is a tremendous blessing, no matter where you are in the world. I’ve prayed for safety and peace alongside other soldiers during sandstorms in Iraq. I’ve split and stacked firewood to heat a single mother’s home through a long, cold winter in northern Idaho. Service is interconnected with the Church, helping God’s children just as He would.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the LDS Church, I still consider myself a convert, as I've studied and prayed to know for myself that the Gospel is true. Other experiences I've had in my life have only reinforced this and strengthened my testimony of the Lord and His Gospel.

How I live my faith

Generally it’s the accumulation of the small things that build a lifestyle of faith – helping a neighbor, praying with your children, telling your spouse you love them. Like pieces of a puzzle, each act adds another piece that creates a final picture of who we will ultimately become with His help.
