Hi I'm Anne

I am a happy wife and the mother of four precious children, 2 girls and 2 boys. I love living in the sunny state of Arizona.

About Me

I am married to my best friend. Our family means everything to me! Thanks to my knowledge of, and belief in our Savior Jesus Christ and His restored church, I have joy and peace in my life! I know who I am, I know where I came from, and I know where I am going. With this knowledge the day-to-day tasks of life are meaningful. My perspective is clear and I am able to think about things on a grand scale. I know I am a child of God and that He loves me. I know He is aware of me and answers my prayers. I know that my family and I can be together forever. Our Savior Jesus Christ taught that life's greatest joys are found in doing good for others and strengthening family relationships. These principles are what I build my life around, and they truly make me happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Both of my parents' fathers were of different faiths, but their mother's were dedicated and determined to teaching their children the gospel of Jesus Christ, which was thankfully then passed on to myself and my siblings. I cannot imagine my life without the church for my foundation. In 2004 my sweet dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given only months to live. When he became sick and was dying, he did not fear. He showed courage and great faith, which I know came from his understanding of our loving Heavenly Father's grand plan. My dad knew he would see our family again. And when he passed away, we found great comfort in this knowledge, too. I know that family relationships are eternal and I am so grateful for that. I am a mormon because it makes me happy and brings me comfort and peace. My questions about life and death have answers. And everything in between makes perfect sense.

How I live my faith

I do what I can to serve! I try to reach out and get to know my neighbors, making special efforts to be friendly and helpful. I serve my community through the cub scout program with a bunch of fun 8-year-old boys! And I serve my friends through the visiting teaching program. I do what I can to build a strong, close-knit community where we all feel safe and welcome!

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Anne
Some people see our code of health as a long list of "don'ts" and restrictions. Don't drink, don't smoke, don't use drugs... In reality, our code of health protects us from many of the natural consequences of these behaviors which can be harmful and sad. We do not want to become addicted to or controlled by any substance, so we avoid them. As a 31 year woman old who has never even tasted coffee or alcohol, or used drugs, I can tell you life is great without them! I am free to have fun, relax and enjoy myself without any of the side effects or consequences of substance use. I am not tempted by them. I suffer no addictions. I am in control. What FREEDOM!
