Hi I'm Jamie

I'm a computer hardware engineer for a large defense contractor. I play softball and I built up a car to 500HP. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wife and 3.5 kids. My wife is the greatest thing that I have in my life and she is my true love. We both go by the same name, which I believe adds to the fact that I believe that she is my equal in life. Her and I have had 3.5 kids, two girls, one boy and one little girl on the way. Our kids are all small and they bring me true happiness in life. They are the one thing that is keeping me young. I grew up working on cars and used to race one for fun down at Firebird Raceway. I decided one day that I wanted to build up a car that had as much horsepower as some of the high powered exotic sports cars, so I studied out what was needed to build up and did it. I used my knowledge of computers to modify my car's computer chip to account for the additional fuel and air, studied out the equipment needed to replace on the car and went to work. I succeeded with this goal as I now have a car that has over 500 horsepower.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I had always pondered what Christ's true role was for me and whether he really was the Savior. In addition to that, I had wanted to know for myself whether Joseph Smith could be a prophet of God... like Moses and Abraham of old. I pondered these questions so much that I began at the age of 20 to begin praying to receive a confirmation from God that Christ was the Savior and Joseph Smith was a prophet. I wanted to know so much that I had desired to have all doubt removed from my mind if I found it to be true. The answer did not come quickly, but it came when I was prepared to receive it. The Holy Ghost bore witness to the spirit within me that Christ is truly the Savior of the world and that Joseph Smith was really a prophet called by God to restore Christ's church to the earth. After receiving that witness from the Holy Ghost, there has not been a single day of my life that I have doubted that this is all true. I know for a fact that it is true... and I thank my Father in Heaven for that revealed witness. If I could tell the world any one thing, I would tell them that I know that God Lives, that Jesus Christ is the Creator of the world and the Savior of all mankind and that prophets do again walk the earth. I know that God does again reveal his will to man on earth... I know it because I have received this knowledge by his Holy Spirit... and you can receive this knowledge also.

How I live my faith

I volunteer through my church to work with the young men in my area within a Varsity Boy Scout Troop. We take these boys on Scouting adventures to help them expand their knowledge and build their character. I am an Eagle Scout and recognize how the Boy Scouts has helped me thoughout my life. I hope to share that experience with other young men so they can be better prepared for lifes challenges that await them.
