Hi I'm Dave

I have been in the toy business for 30 years, am married to my college sweetheart with five great children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California and Northern Nevada and after graduating from college my wife and I moved to the Seattle area where we have raised our five children. We are grandparents to eight really great grandchildren with another on the way later this year. I enjoy shooting trap, hunting waterfowl and occasionaly fly fish as well. I have been active in the Boy Scouts of America program most of my adult life and have enjoyed coaching football for 12 years as well. I love living in the Pacific Northwest and take hikes and ride my bicycle with my wife quite often.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in this church, my faith and values were sorely tested as a young college athelete living away from home for the first time in my life. I made a decision to find out if what I had been taught was really true when I reached a critical cross road in my life. At 18 years of age I prayed diligently and asked Heavenly Father to help me to know what was true and which path I should follow. God answered my prayers and put people in my life that helped me see more clearly that God loved me and that his Son, Jesus Christ, died for me. For the first time in my life, I had gained a testimony of my own that I could recognize. My discovery altered the course of my life completely and I ultimately chose to give up my athletic scholarship and serve a full-time mission for the Church. While I served in England for two years, I learned that God loves all of his children and that he has a plan of happiness for all his children. Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ is not an easy path but it is a path I choose to walk.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a good citizen in my community and nation. I was elected to serve on the city council of my town years ago, have coached football for many years and served in a variety of other community organizations. I currently serve with the Boy Scouts of America in helping young men that are candidates for the Eagle Scout rank. I try to live my faith by being a good neighbor and by helping those in need. I have tried to instill these values in all of my children. I live my faith by trying to be a good husband, father and grandfather.
