Hi I'm Mary

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. I love to cook and bake. I love to garden. I love to spend time with my dear husband and our family. I love music and love to sing. I am the secretary of a woman's organization called The Relief Society. My favorite time of year is the spring when everything begins to grow again and the air is fragrant with blossoms. I love to read good books. I love my family, my town, my country. I am so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

My family belonged to the Baptist faith. When I was a little girl two missionaries knocked on our door. My family joined the Church and we eventually moved West, where I grew up. I have always had a personal relationship with God. I have always loved the Savior. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints just added to the wonderful things I already knew and had been taught. I am happy knowing the Plan of Happiness. I know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going when I leave this mortal existence. There is peace and happiness in this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary of our women's organization (The Relief Society). I have had many responsibilities over my lifetime. I have a friend that goes with me every month to look after a few neighbors whom we attend church with. This is called Visiting Teaching. Two women also look after me in like manner. We attend church meetings every Sunday, learning from and studying the scriptures. I attend the Temple regularly with my husband. We love life.
