Hi I'm Aline

I grew up Southern California. I love crafts, volunteering in the community, music, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 16 years to my wonderful husband. We have one daughter and three sons. I enjoy reading all kinds of books. I spend my days taking care of my family and work a couple of days a week at a grocery store working for a vendor hanging price tags and coupons. I play the flute and have sung in the community choir. And when the sun is shining I love going out and gardening!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a household with parents from two different religions. And they wanted me to decide on my own which church I wanted to go to. I would visit both churches with my grandparents. I knew even at a young age that I felt something special when I went to the LDS church versus my other grandparents church. I felt a peaceful feeling, a feeling of being at home. I wanted to follow Christ and be a part of his church. When I was 10 I stayed with my Aunt for 6 months and I was given the opportunity to go to the LDS church every week. After a month or two I asked my Aunt when I could be baptized. And then I was introduced to the missionaries and learned more about the gospel and even the way to pray. I didn't really know how and I was excited to know that I could pray to my Father in Heaven that he hears my prayers. Even though I knew that this was the church that I was supposed to be in I prayed and asked for knowledge if this church was true and if this was where I needed to be. I received a warm feeling throughout my body and I knew in my mind and in my heart that this was the right church, Christ's true church on the earth today. Many people never know why they are here and what this life is for and I know. And it has made all the difference in the world in my life. I know that we live again and that helps me to make choices in my life that will bring true happiness and not the superficial happiness that the world gives.

How I live my faith

I spend time volunteering in the PTA at school. At church I have the opportunity to help 4 women in my congregation by visiting them once a month. I take the time to help them in what ever they have a need in. Sometimes it is bringing a meal to them or helping around the house or watching their children so that they can go out and run errands and such. Since our churches do not have janitors we take turns cleaning the church building. I love that we have service projects all the time that we can participate in to enrich the lives of others. I also serve in the scouting committee as advancement coordinator. I keep track of the boys' scouting activities and keep them on track for getting advanced and ultimately their Eagle Scout award.
