Hi I'm Alan

I'm a Mormon living in Colorado.

About Me

I'm a construction project manager, married with 6 children and 11 grandchildren. Early on in school, I wanted to be a scientist and began college studying math, chemistry and physics. After a couple of years of study I went to work in the construction industry and have enjoyed a long happy career there. I have really enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life as I have worked in England, Scotland, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. I'm currently working Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to be one. I've been around the block and seen what is accepted today as Christian belief and religion. I've watched as my friends and associates have faced difficult times and blamed God for what has happened to them. I've also watched faithful Mormons in similar circumstances exercise their faith, forgive those who have wronged them and continue to live true gospel principles. I'm a Mormon because I have chosen to live and follow the example of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Ever since I obtained a spiritual witness of a living prophet I have tried to live my religion. I didn't associate with the 60's and 70's movements. I have avoided foul and vulgar language my whole life. I have been able to associate with mormon congregations all over the United States and Europe and see others living their lives in a similar fashion. I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in my youth and have been associated with scouting during much of my adult life. Currently I work with the young men, young women and the adults in our ward congregation. I enjoy watching others learn by exercising their agency to make good decisions and to recognize when they have made a poor decision. I am grateful the Lord has provided a Redeemer for us so we can repent and return to him.
