Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a proud military wife, a proud mother, and I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Melanie! I'm a proud wife to my best friend! Who is an amazing husband and a wonderful father to our sweet baby girl! I love being outdoors doing just about everything from hiking and biking to hunting and fishing or just a quiet peacful walk. My favorite thing do outdoors is to go horseback riding! I love to cook, and I really love to bake. I'm a college student and I enjoy learning. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becuase the principle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses my life and helps me to choose to be happy in all things. I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has answered so many questions I had about this life and what it means and what my purpose here in the wonderful world is.  I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always felt for as long as I can remember, refreshed and uplifted after attending Church on Sunday or going to weekly youth activities or a week of girls camp with the young women, but always the most when I read my scriptures and espcially when I kneel in prayer. Not matter what day it is or what I have been doing weather I'm busy or bored or having a good day or a bad day, everytime I read my scriptures I feel refreshed and uplifted, and everytime I kneel in prayer I feel refreshed and uplifted. I'm a Mormon because I need my Savior Jesus Christ in my life every day. Through Him, His Atonment, His teachings, and by doing the things He asks of me, through Faith and Good Works, and keeping His commandments, I know I can be happy and one day can be made clean and whole, forgiven from sin. So that one day I can live with Him and our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith daily by serving my family in our home with love and kindness. I also live my faith daily by looking for ways to serve others. I seek the help from the Lord through prayer to guide me through each day. I believe that I can choose to be happy in all things and always try to find the good around me and make that my focus. I also serve in the Church as a visiting teacher, which means that I and another member visit a few sisters each month and share a short lesson and build friendships and serve them in whatever way they may need. Bring a dinner over, or watching kidos, etc. I also serve in the church each Sunday in helping with the children's sunday school program called primary. We have lessons and singing time and activities and so much more! It is always a lot of fun!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I know the Church is true because I studied the gospel and teaching of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and then I lived it, and I sincerely prayed to know from our Heavenly Father if what I was learning was right and was true. Then I listened for an answer from the Lord. I always felt at peace and I felt comforted when I asked, most of all I have had heard the whispers of the Holy Ghost that The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is true. I continually study the scriptures to increase my faith and testimony in my Savior Jesus Christ. And I continually strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. A testimony is something that we must work on everyday to keep it stong. Just like plant that needs water and sunlight to grow. We must give ourselves the time and proper attention daily to seek the Lord to know of His truths. If you want to know and understand if the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, you must study the gospel and have an open mind. Learning from the Holy Ghost through the scriptures and members of our Church, and or our Missionaries and then live the teaching of the gospel fully through faith and good works and keeping the commandments of Jesus Chrsit and pray sincerely to know if the Chruch is true.
