Hi I'm Amber

I just moved to Minnesota with my husband who returned from Afghanistan and our 3 dogs. I am a dental hygienist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am working as a dental hygienist full time and finishing my bachelors degree in dental hygiene. I am married to the sweetest man who is currently serving in Afghanistan. We have 3 dogs, two puggles (pug/beagle mix) and one boxer. We also have a bengal cat. You could say that we love animals. Currently we are not parents but hope to be in the future. Some other hobbies that I like are reading, playing the piano, watching movies, and talking with friends. I danced ballet for 12 years when I was younger and miss it. I also like to sing but now I mostly only sing in the car or in church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church. I even served a mission. However, I did stop going to church for a few years. Now that I am going back to church I realized how much I was missing out on. The peace and warmth that you feel when you are in church and doing the right things that comes into your daily life has helped me through this hard time of being away from my husband. The members of the ward (congregation) have to so kind and sincerely care about each other. I look forward to the day that me and my husband can go to the temple together and reinforce the love we have for each other and the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures, praying, and going to church every Sunday. At church I have been given the assignment to help other members of the congregation that are in need. There are many ways that people may need help. When we hear that a expecting mom is ordered to bed rest we organize meals to be brought to the family. We also make sure that their chores aren't left undone and that their children are taken care of. This is the same of any one who may have fallen ill for a period of time. It is truly through serving your fellow man that you can feel the Saviors peace and love.
