Hi I'm Suzi

I am a mother of 5, I enjoy vacationing with my family, boating, bike riding, hiking and playing violin. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small farm in Southern Alberta Canada. My younger days were spent on a horse or a motorbike or in the back of a truck. I loved helping my dad on the farm and felt like I had quite an exciting childhood. I went to college to become a forest ranger but after a year I met and married my husband. We moved to Arizona recently because we grew tired of Canadian winters. We have 5 children, but only meant to have 4. Our last "child" turned out to be identical twin boys. They have 3 older sisters who look after them and love them to bits and pieces. As a family we enjoy taking our bayliner boat out to the lake, camping in a cabin or RV- not a tent... We also enjoy music very much, our girls take piano lessons and I played violin for the community orchestra for the past 2 years. I love living in Arizona, I feel like the desert is beautiful and full of fun places to explore. I also enjoy reading very much. I have read the Harry Potter series 5 times, I appreciate and enjoy all the classics such as Lord of the Rings, Les Miserables, Little house on the Prairie, Twilight, The Hunger Games, you name it... I 've probably read it. I also enjoy exercise and healthy living. Although, I am known to bake on special occasions. Some of my specialties include cream cheese gooey cinnamon buns, and Christmas chocolates.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family. Because of that I consider myself one of the luckiest children on earth. I was born to good parents who loved me dearly and taught me strong values and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after Jesus Christ was ressurected he was walking down a path with a couple of his disciples who did not recognize him. They recalled later on that their hearts burned when he spoke to them. My heart burns for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know without doubt that he died for us and he lives again and we will too. When I was young, I watched my mother pass away from this life into the next. I know that she was greeted by her grandmother with loving arms. I know this for a fact. I also know I will see her again because of the plan of salvation. One blessed day, we will be reunited. Until then, I will strive to live my life so that my Heavenly Father smiles down upon me and my family. My greatest desire in this life is to see my children grow into respectful strong adults who live and love the gospel. And one day, just like Enos I hope to see my Redeemer's face with pleasure and he will say unto me, "Come unto me ye blessed for there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my father". (Enos 1:27)

How I live my faith

I love to serve in our church. I have been involved with teaching children the gospel for the past ten years in one form or another. My favorite calling to serve in the church was the primary chorister. It was extremely rewarding to teach children songs about Jesus. I enjoy visiting sisters in the church, when someone is in need, I love to bring dinner to them or babysit their children. Service brings joy to my heart. I also love to serve in the community. I play second violin in the community orchestra. My favorite performance of the year is playing to the Veterans all the old war tunes and forces songs on Veterans day. We also do free christmas and spring concerts. I believe that music is one of the strongest forces in the world. It can bring together families, strangers, and loved ones. I believe it is one of the best ways to bring the Holy Spirit into presence. Inspirational music is inspired by God. I love humanitarian aid. Last year I spent time making first aid kits for the victims in Haiti, as well as baby items and hygiene kits. I appreciate everything about my church, if needs be I would lay down my life for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
