Hi I'm Brett

I love to smile and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved liberal arts. I enjoy writing, reading, drawing and theatre. I am an amateur boxer and mixed martial artist. I am an avid outdoorsman. My parents and siblings and I spend most of our time out of doors, hiking, biking, rockclimbing, camping etcetera. I speak fluent spanish and want to teach spanish to high school students. I thoroughly enjoy traveling internationally and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I was younger two sister missionaries knocked on my door and they taught my mother the gospel of Jesus Christ and she knew it was true. For several subsequent years members and missionaries alike visited my father and helped him to learn about the plan of happiness. He joined the Church and baptized my little sister and me. Throughout my adolescence I received my own conviction, true conviction, of the truthfulness of the gospel by reading the Book of Mormon. It is my favorite book and I know it is true. It holds all the answers to any doubt or question. It is the greatest book on any given subject. It is of divine authenticity. I'm a Mormon because I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying every day to be more like or perfect paradigm; Jesus Christ. I just returned from having served a two year mission in Peru. I love my family and try to serve everyone around me. I suppose that is my favorite phrase "I love you", and I try to show it in all that I do and say. Upon returning from my mission I have accompanied a group of young men on scouting activities, and taught a group of men how we can become better men, better husbands and fathers. I live my faith by trying to do the little things. The small moments are what make the greatest memories I organize and supervise a weekly family night in my local congregation of college students. Monday nights are called "Family Home Evening", family home evening is a time “for group activity, for organizing, for the expressions of love, for the bearing of testimony, for learning gospel principles, for family fun and recreation, and of all things, for family unity and solidarity.” I love my fellow students and I try each day to exemplify my faith in everything I do say and think. I hope to follow the admonition of Christ to all true followers of the Savior by standing as a witness at all times in all things in all places
