Hi I'm Scott Slade

I have a beautiful family of five. I love my family, sports, hunting and fishing. And I am a Mormon!

About Me

I have three beautiful children and a wonderful wife. I'm a plumbing contractor and work hard to provide for my family that I love. I enjoy hunting, sports, and learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon in part because I was raised a member of the church and taught the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me. His sacrifice and death for me have brought me deep and abiding feelings about Him and His gospel. I know that He lives and that He has restored his church in these days. I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ's church was restored in the year 1830 to the young boy and prophet, Joseph Smith. I believe the be Bible to be the word of God and I also believe the Book of Mormon, that was translated by Joseph Smith, to be the word of God. There is a special power than enters our lives as we study and read from the scriptures. A power that persuades us to be good people and to follow Christ's teachings. In addition, I pray to God regularly and know that He hears and answers my prayers. He has confirmed to me the truthfullness of these things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply doing the things God has asked me to do. I try to apply the things I learn about Jesus Christ in my own life. I pray daily, study from the scriptures daily, attend my church meetings, and I serve others. I try to be a good husband and father to my wife and children. My home is founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those teachings include faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, service, and wholesome recreational activities.
