Hi I'm Morgan

I am the mother of an atypical family and a pediatrician. I love music, the outdoors, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mother of five girls. Technically, I'm a step-mom to four of them, but we don't differentiate. They have my whole heart and I love focusing on our family! Prior to deciding to stay home I worked as a children's doctor and still love keeping up to date on my training. I also enjoy hiking, baking, and playing music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church has the true, complete gospel of Christ and I could never deny that. This gospel has taught me that I'm a daughter of God; that He loves me and is interested and actively involved in the details of my life. I have felt his love support, comfort, and guide me. Because God wants us to return and live happily with Him, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior, and pay the price for all of our sins, mistakes, and heartaches so that we can be completely clean again. I've always understood this, but over the years its truth has been driven home time after time. This gospel makes sense. It works. As I study the Book of Mormon and listen to God's living prophet on earth today, their words are true. They encourage me to be kinder, smarter, to become better than I am, and help me understand how. I can ask real questions and know that the answers are there because truth is truth! This gospel grounds my life, gives meaning to my everyday actions, and fills me with hope and joy!

How I live my faith

As I go through day to day life I try to make my actions consistent with what God wants me to do. I try to be kind, to help those around me, to live the 'golden rule', be honest and follow through with what I say I'll do. I don't always succeed, but I believe that with Christ's help I am making progress. I also work with the women in my congregation, making sure that everyone knows they are welcome and comes together to help each other through the hard times and celebrate the good.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! That means we belong to Christ's church as He has organized it during modern times. We worship Jesus as the Son of God, the Lord who sacrificed His life and will to make it possible for us to be washed clean from our sins and suffering and join Him and our Father in heaven. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. He is the perfect example we seek to emulate, the light that shows us how to find our way home, and the power that makes that return possible!
