Hi I'm Michael

I love my life. I am a husband, father, scout leader and a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have a beautiful daughter. I am from the US and my wife is from the Philippines. We enjoy our family and faith. I work as a software consultant and have a degree in Applied Physics with Computer Science Emphisis. I enjoy the outdoors, and love the beauty of God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints the true and living church of Christ. No other church has the fullness of the gosple. I know that the Book of Mormon is holy scripture and it complements, verifies and clarifies the truths taught in the Holy Bible. I know that the true authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth, and resides in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have served as a boy scout leader for several years. I strive to live the teachings of Jesus Christ in my daily life, and to always represent my Savior in a positive manner.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Michael
The law of chastity is simple to state. Sexual relations are reserved strictly within the bounds of marriage, to be practiced only between husband and wife. Our Father In Heaven has shared with us the sacred power to create live and to bring His precious spirit children into this world. Heavenly Father wants his children to have the best chance for success in this life and to be taught to love and serve one another. This is most likely to happen within a traditional family where a father and mother are present, love each other and demonstrate appropriate roles of men and women, fathers and mothers to their children. Sexual relations have 2 divinely appointed roles. To bring children into this world and to strenghten the bond between a husband and wife. Any use of these sacred powers outside of those two purposes is sinful. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Michael
Yes. Christ is at the very center of the teachings if the Mormon church, or more properly, the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and is truely the Son of God. We believe that it is only through the atonement of Jesus Christ that we can be forgiven of our sins, and made worthy to inherit the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father. I would like to share a quote from the Book of Mormon: 2 Nephi 25:26 "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Michael
The Mormon church teaches that abortion is wong. Each human being is a spirit child of our Heavenly Father, and human life is thus sacred. Abortion a very serious matter and should only be considered in cases of rape, insest or where the mother's life would be seriously threatened. The Mormon church encourages unwed mothers to carry the baby to birth. The Mormon church, through it's Family Services departmet assists mothers who can not adiquatly provide for their newborn babys and couples who wish to adopt children with the adoption process. This gives the children a chance to be born, raised and prosper with parents who can love and provide for them. Show more Show less
