Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 10 children. We had six biological children and adopted four special needs children later in life. I studied computer science and earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in that field. I have been working as a Program Manager in the Aerospace and Defense Industry for over 20 years. My hobbies are raising children, backpacking and hiking, bike riding, and reading. I really enjoy being in the out doors and love watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this Church all my life and I love it! I am happy when I am involved in the Church and with other people who are trying to follow the Savior's example in all they do. The teachings and doctrine help me be a better husband and father, which makes all the difference to me. I was raised in the Church by parents who believed that this Church was the Church of Christ, restored to the earth in the latter-days. I learned the doctrine when I was young and found it to make sense to me. It continues to give me a strong feeling of good whenever I participate in it. I continue to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and am teaching my children in the same manner I was taught. I know that this Church has what is necessary to help me to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ and to help me keep my family safe in today's complicated world.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our congregation and love to be with them. I find them energizing, full of fun, and eager to learn. I do my very best to be the type of person that the youth would want to grow up and be. My goal in life, is to be know as a disciple of Jesus Christ, a loving father, and a wonderful husband.

What is being a Mormon like?

Mike
Being a Mormon makes me happy! I enjoy life and realize that problems are something that I can overcome because I know that our Father in Heaven wants to help me. It doesn't make problems, trials, and tests go away, it just makes them easier to work with. I know that the effort put into living the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me a better husband and father, and helps me bring God's Plan of Happiness into my life! This is why I'm happy!
