Hi I'm Jared Eisenhower

I've lived the majority of my life in the hot desert. My passions are mountain biking and crossfit. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently attending school at ASU and seeking a BSE in Electrical Engineering. I love math and science! I hope to work either for a defense contractor or for a power company upon graduation. My long term goal is to pursue either an MBA or law school. When I'm not at school or working, I love to be in the out doors. Mountain biking is an especially great way to get out into the country and see nature; plus its a crazy rush as well. Hiking is another great way to see the great natural wonders on the earth!! One of my favorite areas to hike is up in the St. George Utah area, as well as Sedona Arizona! The red rock is simply gorgeous. Shooting is also another favorite past time of mine. I love shot guns and clay pigeon shooting. Afterall its a great stress reliever! Every morning I start my day by doing some crossfit so I can work hard the rest of the day. One day I want to devote my entire garage to crossfit! I'm also an avid jogger, with plans to run a marathon soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member at the age of 10. My mother is also a convert to the church. She became less active in the church when I was a young boy. Through good friends she was invited to return. I was somewhat reluctant at first, having no real desire to go to church on Sundays. I had other things that I would rather do quite frankly. I remember my first Sunday and the spirit that I felt. It was powerful and awe-inspiring. My brother and I both met with the missionaries from the Mormon Church to learn more. The principles they taught had a familiar ring to them and gave me a feeling of peace. Even at a young age I had many questions about the purpose of life and where I would end up after death. The Mormon Church was able to answer these deep questions for me and so I decided to be baptized. I know that this Church has been restored by a prophet and is continually led by a prophet today. The teachings and lessons I have learned since becoming a member have guided my path and helped me to become a better person. I know that Lord is there for us and will help us through any obstacle so long we follow him always. I have been greatly blessed since becoming a member of His restored church.

How I live my faith

Everything I do all boils down to one thing. That is to follow the example Christ has set by loving my fellow brother and sisters through word and deed. The church has many responsibilities that need filling for the betterment of the all the saints as a whole as well as the inviduals asked to carry them out. I am personally a ward missionary at the current time. My main job is to help those recently converted to our faith with anything they need, whether spiritual or physical. I am also a hometeacher, this is my favorite calling. This great system's whole premise is to care for every single member accross the globe. As a hometeacher I'm assigned atleast a couple individuals for whom I am responsible to be their "go to" guy. I am able to render a lot of service through this system and forget myself; it brings the greatest sense of satisfaction.
