Hi I'm K.K.

I grew up in Japan. I am now a software developer living in Seattle WA, and I like to go surfing on weekends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Philippines, raised in Japan, and currently reside in Seattle Washington. I was introduced to the church when I was about eight years old, and I was baptized as a member when I was nine. My Grandma was actually the first member of my family that was introduced to the Church in the Philippines. I have always been amazed how her decision to become a member long before I was born, has blessed my life long after she passed away. It is for that reason I will always love, and be grateful to her. It has also been a constant reminder of the power of the atonement and the infinite love God has for his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe God still plays an active role in all of our lives. I believe that He is always watching over us, guiding us, and always looking for opportunities to bless us. There have been periods in my life that His subtle influence has profoundly influenced the course of my life, whether I was aware of it or not. I believe God still communicates with his children today, through his modern day prophets and apostles, as well as through personal revelation. I believe that as we strive to align ourselves with our heavenly father's will, we will learn what it truly means to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by giving the world my very best. Whether I am at work, serving my church, surfing at the beach, or helping a friend in need, I always try my best to put my heart and soul into it. I believe God has blessed me with several talents and gifts, and it is my duty to nurture those gifts to not only help improve my own life - but to better serve those around me. I live my faith by always seeing the good in others, and learning to truly love those around me. I believe if others can accept me despite my many imperfections - they deserve my respect, loyalty, and most of all love. I will be humble if I am praised, but I will be the rock when someone needs my strength. God expects nothing less but the best of each of his children - and I will always strive so that others will receive nothing but the best of me.
