Hi I'm Carol

I sew, knit, crochet, swim, walk the dogs read, and chat on facebook to my family in other states. I have had many types of jobs. Babysitter, counter girl, hair dresser, dog groomer, worked in a needle point store and taught crocheting, was a waitress ( I met my present husband), teacher's aide, Mary Kay Consultant, care giver for Mother in-law, dance teacher, and now a Janitor/ maintenance person in a preschool-8th grade Catholic School. I have lived in the woods, mountains, city, and desert. On the East Coast, Texas, and California. Now I live in the mid-west

Why I am a Mormon

First of all I love being a Latter Day Saint (Mormon) I was searching for a religion and going to many different ones. Nothing clicked until I went to a friends baptism of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When the songs started I felt this is what I have been looking for. I could feel something and saw that the people there had something I was missing ( Later I found out it was the Gift of the Holy Ghost that brings peace to a turmoil life) The missionaries came to my home the next week, They explained the reason why we are here. Left me the Book of Mormon and asked me to pray before reading the part where Joseph was visited by an angel when he was a young boy. As I was reading that same wonderful feeling was with me and I new the book was Holy just as much as the Bible. Since then I have grown closer to Jesus our Lord and Savior and have learned many more spiritual things. If you truly want to be part of Christ's Church I would suggest you let the missionaries give you a few lessons pray about it and attend our church service.

How I live my faith

I have been a member since 2002. It has been great and also hard. Living the commandments is different from just joining a church. My whole life has changed. I was never a modest person now I am and have more respect for myself and other people. I have a close relationship with my Heavenly Father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I have grown Spiritually, and have more confidence in myself knowing I am a daughter of God. If I need His help he will help me with whatever I am in need of. We all are offered things to do in our church. They are callings and they are done by prayer and inspiration. My callings are Employment Specialist ( I help people find jobs ) Food Storage Consultant , and I help our women's organization ( the Relief Society it is world wide through out our church ) to check on our sister's needs each month. I love to attend our Temple. They are Holy Places. On the entrance of all Temples it says Holiness to the Lord. I am working on having a purer heart and mind. This church is helping me to do this. I have attended many different churches but this is the only one that feeds my spirit and I have learned much for this life and life after death.
