Hi I'm Louise

I grew up in a small town in Colorado. I love hiking in the mountains and snorkeling in the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 5 children. I have 1 girl and 4 boys. Our daughter is married and our oldest son in serving a mission. Our other two boys are in high school. Our youngest son would be 12 years old, but he died when he was four months old. He was born with a heart defect. I adore my family and love being with them. We have a lot of fun together. I work at an elementary school in a classroom with first and second graders who have emotional disorders. It is sometimes a challenge, but it is also very rewarding. I went to cosmotology school so I cut and color hair for friends and family. I love watching my boys play sports, and hanging out with my husband. We love to go to movies.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was born into a Mormon family. My dad converted to the Mormon religion a few years after he and my mother were married. I have been a member of the Mormon church my whole life. I have always felt a strong testimony that my Heavenly Father loves me and that he is aware of who I am. When I was in high school I felt a strong impression of how important it was to follow the gospels teachings. I tried to always be kind to those around me and live the way my Father in Heaven would want me to. I fell in love with a boy who was also a member of the church and when he returned from serving a mission we were married in the temple. When we began to have children I was so happy to have the gospel to help teach them about the plan of happiness outlined in the scriptures. When our youngest son died I had to dig deep into my heart and ask myself if this plan of being with our loved ones forever was really true or just something that sounded good. I prayed and prayed and the answer came to me that it was true. We truley can live with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones that have passed on before us again. When we are resurrected, because of our Savior, Jesus Christ who made that possible. The gospel makes me happy! I see my children striving to live what the gospel teaches and it makes them happy. I feel so blessed to have a prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us. He is the mouthpiece for Jesus Christ to lead his church.

How I live my faith

I work with the 12-18 year old girls at church. I teach them about the gospel. We also have activities during the week. We have fun together. We laugh and cry and share experiences with eachother. In the summer time we go camping for 3 or 4 days. It's so fun to get away from the city and have fun camping in the mountains. We also play volleyball and softball with other girls the same age that live in a different area. I love teaching them the promises that the Lord gives us when we try to live the way he asks us to. I love to teach them about being a wife and mother, about how to cook and put on make-up and how to serve others. Alot of the time they teach me stuff. They are so kind to eachother and love eachother. I always try to create an atmosphere that the girls feel welcomed and loved.
