Hi I'm Karl.

I'm an engineer and a father of eight children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was in the Air Force and my family lived in various places in the states and the world. The most exotic and exciting was the 3 years that we lived in the Canal Zone in Panama. This time outside of the country thought me to really appreciate this blessed land that we live in. When my father left the service, we moved to Washington state where we farmed and I graduated from high school. I earned my degree as an Electrical and Computer Engineer at Brigham Young University and there I met my wife. I am currently a Technical Account Manager for a technology company and live in the Denver metro area.

Why I am a Mormon

I came from pioneer heritage and I grew up in the Church. I was taught the principles of the gospel by loving parents, grandparents, and church leaders. When I was 14 years old, I sought my own testimony and did so by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to understand the gospel. As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ in Lima, Peru, I gained a testimony of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and met wonderful people whose lives were deeply affected by the gospel. I'm grateful to have the gospel in my family's life. It gives structure and direction to my life and that of my children --- especially the "Strength of Youth" program of the Church. It also guides us to be self sufficient and prepared for the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church, I've served a 2 year mission to the very special people of Peru. Most recently, I have taught the young men of our congregation in Boy Scouting. Being an Eagle Scout myself, I'm excited to see the boys advance, learn, and grow. We're also involved in many service opportunities in our community. In all my professional actions I try to represent my faith by living honestly and with integrity.
