Hi I'm Pamela

I grew up in Northern California, I love to run and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to create & design, make friends and learn things. I also love to run outdoors. Hobbies and interests give dimension to my life. I have three children and through them have never learned more...about myself! Being a parent is like having a mirror in front of you all of the time, showing you how you can be better. I love cold pumpkin pie, good music and laughing really hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my beliefs infuse my life with a determination to be better. I know that the Book of Mormon is everything it claims to be and will bring light and peace to anyone who studies it. I am far from perfect but having a reason and a desire to be more Christlike helps me be happier in my life. I feel that knowing that God is real and that He loves me has changed everything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying everyday for help to be a more Christ-like person. Studying scriptures and going to church, among other things, help me feel inspired to keep trying to do better. I also help with the children in my congregation. I have had opportunities to plan activities and teach lessons to youth. I am grateful to be able to be around them. Young people have a lot of pressure these days to do things they shouldn't. I hope to show though loving & teaching them, that staying honest, clean and virtuous will give them so much more freedom and happiness than the alternative.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Pamela
If any church praises and celebrates women and womanhood, the LDS church does! Men and women are viewed as equals in God's eyes. Men and women should be kind and treat each other with respect. Women are given many opportunities to hold leadership positions in the church and are also asked to speak in worship services as often as men. Mormons understand the incalculable influence of women in the home, the community and the world. In the family mothers and fathers should both work to have quality individual relationships with their children and play, teach and discipline them together. Show more Show less
