Hi I'm Christy

I live in Ashland, Ohio. I am a wife, stay-at-home Mom, runner, crafter and a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful husband, named James. I have a 1-year old son, named James Miles, we call him Miles. Miles was born with arthogryposis, which affects his hands and feet. He has club feet, and his hands don't work like most kid's hands. We spend a lot of time in doctor's offices and in therapy sessions. He is still the happiest little kid, and I am so grateful that his orthopedic disabilities are not life-threatening. Having Miles and the Post-Partum Depression I had after he was born have done a lot to help me cherish life and each day I'm given. I'm so grateful that I get to be a Mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know that He has provided the Priesthood and ordinances needed for salvation, and for the opportunity to live with our families with our Father in Heaven someday. I'm a Mormon because it brings me happiness in my everyday life. I believe this Church has more truth than any other Church on the earth, and it holds the authority to administer the ordinances of salvation.

How I live my faith

My daily activities as a stay-at-home Mom, such as feeding and bathing, naps and laundry, are intermingled with scripture study and prayer, family scripture study and family prayer, visiting others and finding ways to help someone who needs it. I try to be the person Heavenly Father is hoping I will become. I know it takes time to learn and become better, so I just try a day at a time, to be better than I was before.
