Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Mormon and I'm changing the world--one chocolate-chip cookie at a time.

About Me

I am a mom of four kids, I am currently taking classes in Photoshop and photography and I love to learn. I belong to a writing group and a meditation group. I love watching the AZ Diamondbacks play baseball. I love to travel and show my kids new parts of the country. As a family we love to go hiking and be outside, which gets tricky in AZ in July so we usually try to be somewhere cooler.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and was always encouraged to find answers for myself. As I teenager, I prayed long and hard to know if the church was true and not just rely on my parents' commitment. I have received confirmation many times that this is God's church. I feel the Holy Ghost as a warm, comfortable feeling deep in my heart. I love that I can learn about the atonement everyday by studying my scriptures. As I face trials, I depend on the enabling power of the atonement made by our Savior, Jesus Christ, to help me.

How I live my faith

I play the piano for the children's group in our church. It is fun to hear them sing about Jesus and feel of their enthusiasm. I also volunteer to visit other women in our ward, clean the church and bring food to our events. I like to involve my children for these assignments, to teach them the importance of service. One thing I love about our church is the humility of the members. We know we are all needed to keep things functioning so I see on a regular basis the leaders of the biggest organizations sweeping the floors and setting up chairs.
