Hi I'm Kristy

I grew up in Moses Lake, WA. I served a mission in Ireland. I work as a science entertainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've had an interesting life for only being 25. By the age of 19 I had been in 3 different roll-over car accidents. The last accident I was a front seat passenger and we ended up rolling 7 times at 90 mph. Science says I shouldn't be alive but here I am writing this profile. Other interesting tidbits about me is that I served as a missionary in Ireland for 18 months. I loved both Ireland and Northern Ireland and long to go back and visit. My hobbies include reading, boating, volleyball (though I'm really not any good anymore) and playing games. I've been married for close to 2 years now and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many other Mormons I was raised by a family that had an LDS (mormon) background. At a young age my parents taught me all about the gospel of Jesus Christ and its importance in my life. I have always lead a religious life. As I got older I learned that I could not simply rely on my parents testimonies my entire life I had to find out myself if what I had been taught my whole life was true. I don't remember exactly how old I was probably between the ages of 10-13 but I remember kneeling down in prayer, and asking specifically if the Book of Mormon was true. I still remember the feeling of my body feeling warm and peaceful and a thought came to mind that said, "you've always known it was true." From that moment on I knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was indeed the true church. As I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and follow the counsel of the General Authorities I know I am doing the right thing. My faith keeps me happy and focused on the things that matter in life.

How I live my faith

As most other Mormons there are many things that I do every day that scream, "she's a Mormon!" I obey the Word of Wisdom which means I abstain from coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco and drugs of any kind. I keep my language clean and refrain from watching R-rated movies. I attend church every Sunday where I have the opportunity to teach the youth in my ward. I also speak like a Mormon and throw out mormon terms like: ward, fireside, beehive, mutual, and seminary. I live my faith by reading my scriptures (though I have room for improvement) and by trying to live a Christlike life.
