Hi I'm Julie

I am a smitten wife. I am Mother to 5 wonderful and crazy children (so far). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 30 years old and have five children ages 9, 6, 4, 2, and 10 months. We had three girls first. After having our first boy, people would say, "Oh, you got your boy, are you done now?" To which I quickly respond, "You've got to have at least five boys, don't you?" As challenging as having a large family can be, I know it is and will be worth it. For my husband and I, our children are our most secure investment. We believe completely that it is through our posterity that we will find our greatest joys in this life and life after death. I love teaching. I graduated in Biology Education, qualifying me to teach science to grades 6-12. I have never been hired as a full-time teacher, yet I am a full-time teacher to my family, friends, and 16-18 year-old girls at church. My first child was 9 months old when I graduated from college. I love the beach. I love to play volleyball, pickleball, and tennis. I love to swim, bike, and run. I love music and I love to dance (in my kitchen while my kids are eating lunch). I love food. I love to make bread. I love learning musical instruments- the latest being the ukulele and violin. I love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon because I love feeling the spirit in my life. I love the peace I feel. I love the assurance and confidence that I feel because of my understanding of my life before I came to earth, what I am working for during my mortal life, and my anticipation of promised blessings in the next life. I am a Mormon because I know the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored again on the earth. I am a Mormon because I know that the Savior guides His church today through a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I am a Mormon because I KNOW that families can be together forever. I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit, has witnessed to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true! I have tested His promises and know they are sure.

How I live my faith

I diligently try to be taught spiritually each and every day. I study the gospel and pray. I try and write down spiritual experiences in my journal. As a family, we pray, read the scriptures, and teach gospel principles to each other. At church, I am a leader for girls ages 12-18. On Sundays I teach the 16-18 year-old girls a lesson and do fun activities with them on Wednesday nights. I live my faith by seeking God's will and then striving to do it. Boy can this be difficult! Sometimes God asks us to do hard things. Sometimes he asks us to do things that do not make sense to us. Our blessings come as we choose to trust in His will for us.
