Hi I'm Jim Urban

I grew up in Colorado and still live here! I met a nice Mormon girl at JCPenny's and she led me to the true gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 daughters. 3 have graduated from BYU Brigham Young University and one is still attending. I love to bicycle ride. Especially road bicycling. I feel better as I exercise and it is a great escape for me. I love my work in real estate. I have been selling real estate since 1984. I have a passion for helping people with their dreams in home ownership. I am part of a network with company called By Referral Only and we meet often to build on our systems to better find and help people. I love the technology part of real estate where I can leverage my visibility through video. You can go to YouTube and type in Jim Urban and see a lot of my videos. You can also go to my blog at www.JimsJournal.net to watch a lot of my work. I love helping people and I feel that I am a people person and truly have a genuine care for the human soul. There is something special in most everyone. I can find that special spirit in people. I love touching that and making that special connection with people. It's really a lifelong love friendship. I have made many friends in my career. I figure that we spend much of our life working so why not make lasting relationships along this path of life on this earth. I especially love spending time with my wife Susan and my kids and now my grandkids. This is my drive behind the drive...to provide for them and spend time with them. I want them to have the best opportunity in life and the gospel of Jesus Christ as their base and rock!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel and it has enhanced my life so much. I have been a member since 1980. I love knowing that there is more scripture about Jesus Christ. Especially the Book of Mormon. I would feel short changed knowing what I know now. The additional knowledge and fullness of the gospel is really why I am a member. I love that I took the challenge to be a Mormon 30 years ago. It was scary at the time and yet I knew I was doing the right thing. All I can say now is WOW! I can't even imagine not having the gospel in my life. It's like having the full keyboard on the piano now and this truth and gospel plays the most beautiful music you could ever imagine! You could be a Mormon too!

How I live my faith

I love going to church each Sunday. It is such a spiritual lift. I visit members of the ward each month to help them with their spiritual growth. I am also a teacher in the High Priest group. I love teaching almost more than anything. They say the teacher learns the most...and that is so true. I love digging deep into the gospel truths and learn from our prophets and leaders. If you want to follow anyone on this earth I recommend following the prophets because they have led some incredible lives and have shown us a tremendous example. I love teaching about their life experiences. This includes some of my life experiences and life lessons. As a Man and Brother in the gospel I love getting together with the brothren in the church and discuss spiritual things. I also love serving with them. As a common believer we lift each other up even further in truth and living the commandments. It's like Christ when he appointed his apostles. They had one common purpose...to bring people to Christ and to share truth and ultimately help people to believe in this truth and to show them the way to a special place in Heaven! There is nothing on this earth more important than this....helping people to this place! Some of you reading this may have or have been a client of mine and I want you to know that ultimately I would love to share with you more about this faith. Don't be shy to ask and I won't be shy to ask and share. I share this truth and love for you, to my friends and family!

What is being a Mormon like?

Jim Urban
It's a way of life...not just a Sunday church. I love this because I want my life to be centered around Jesus Christ and to follow him. I live the law instead of just speak it. Show more Show less
