Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of three children, an avid flyfisherman, and an engineer. I grew up in Northern Utah, but moved to the Midwest to work in Supply Chain Management for a large manufacturing company. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football & basketball, and spending time in the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Many of my ancestors first embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their sacrifices have created a legacy of faith. I chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. Since that time, I have tried to be a disciple of Christ. I have had many experiences in my life which help me to know that God is real and that he truly knows and cares for me. The Gospel has given me happiness and peace. I volunteered to share this knowledge with the people of Taiwan for two years. While it was extremely difficult to learn the language of Mandarin Chinese, I learned to love the people of Taiwan. It brought me great joy to see lives enriched as people accepted Christ as their Savior. While I am not a full-time missionary now, I enjoy telling people about my beliefs.

How I live my faith

As a young man, I benefitted from the youth program of the Church. I learned many important skills and the program strengthened my values. Now as an adult, I try to give back to the organization which helped me so much. I am an advisor to the young men in my church, and I volunteer as the Scoutmaster of our Troop. We have a lot of fun in our weekly activities and on our monthly campouts. We also find opportunities to volunteer and give service. It is amazing to see the young men as they learn and grow.
