Hi I'm Gene

I'm a life long member of the Mormon church who has lived in different parts of the United States.

About Me

I am a grandparent who has recently remarried after my first wife passed away. I work in scouting in the church and still am working in the interesting field of renewable energy. I am a scientist by training in the field of Chemistry. I love science, reading a wide range of literature and being involved in the church. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of my life. Keeping a Christ centered life keeps all my trials and difficulties in perspective.

Why I am a Mormon

While I have grown up in the church, I have simply seen so much good that comes from membership in the church that I can testify that this Church is truly His Church. So many witnesses of the divinity of this work have occurred in my life that help me to understand that God lives, He cares for us and knows us individually. I have seen the blessings of obedience to God's laws such as tithing, honesty, chastity, keeping the Sabbath day holy, and others that convince me that I have chosen the right way to live.

How I live my faith

I work with young people and they keep me young. I love to visit members of the church through home teaching. I love gospel learning and read the scriptures daily. I enjoy serving others and particularly my wife and family. They are my true joy and with my recent marriage, I inherited three new daughters and their families and they are simply great. All my children and my new children were married in the temple, have strong testimonies and live the gospel. The grandchildren try and live the gospel and they are good granddaughters and grandsons. I couldn't ask for anything more fulfilling than to see children and grandchildren enjoy life because they are living gospel principles. It is true that bringing up children in the ways of the Lord brings a satisfaction that doesn't occur in any other way. I am privileged to live the gospel.
