Hi I'm Denise

I have been a nurse for 19 years and married for 18. Mom of three with Bleach Blonde Hair, and love to play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Texan at heart. I met the man of my dreams on a blind date, yes a blind date. It was well worth all of the other blind dates leading up to that one. I have been married for 18 years and falling in love with him more each day. I am a mom of 3 beautiful children. They keep me very busy, trying to keep everyone out of trouble. They brighten up my day with their smiles and tales of their day. I love to play sports, go on vacation, watch my kids play and do their sports. I enjoy going to work once a week as a Nurse. It is very fulfilling knowing I can help others. I have lived in Texas, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. Life is crazy busy but I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is who I am. I was raised in the church and relied on my parents beliefs for awhile. I had great examples all around me. My father was a convert and talking with him, he joined the church because of the importance of the family. He loved the fact that families can be together forever. He was a great man of Faith. My mom has been a member for her entire life. Her legacy is Service. She showed me how to love and serve others. It wasn't until I was on my own before I realized that I needed my own testimony of Jesus Christ. I remember finding myself asking Heavenly Father if this church was true and asking if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. As I contemplated on my knees, tears dwelled up and I knew it was true. I have always had that inner peace of knowing who I was and where I came from. It not only made sense but I had this wonderful feeling that I knew Jesus Christ was the Redeemer of the World. He suffered, bleed and died for me. Yes for me and everyone else. He is the ultimate example of how I need to live my life. Without him I would be lost. Jesus Christ provides the way and means to return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

In addition to trying to be a good wife and mom, I find myself aspiring to be a good example. I hope that through my positive outlook on life I can be that person that others want to be around. I serve in our Women's group at church. This past year we have been doing a year of service and have had the opportunity to go into the community and serve. We have gone to the Salvation Army at Christmas, St. Vincent De Paul to help serve dinner, Ronald McDonald house, the Child Crisis Center and others. It has opened my eyes to those in need. I have also learned so much. Maybe in a tiny way I have looked through the eyes of Christ while performing these acts of service.
