Hi I'm Nancy

I am a daughter, Aunt, wife, mother and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

Being raised in California in the 50's and 60's offered me wonderful experiences in the out of doors climbing the hillsides, swimming in the pacific ocean, skiing in the Sierras, riding my bike everywhere because I could and living in our swimming pool in the summer. My mother sang and played the piano so I sang with her early in my childhood. My father enjoyed sailing and science so i loved boats and had answers to my whys of the universe. I love this world and all of its diversity. Why is still a common word in my vocabulary and I have learned a great deal using it. Today i still sail and hike the mountains of Colorado. I swim in her lakes and marvel at the power and beauty of nature with my husband our three daughters and their husbands and our two grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

When my mother and I were singing Christmas songs when I was around five or six, I new Jesus was important and I needed to know him. I wanted to a school where they taught about Christ and went with my cousins to a Lutheran perochial school. I loved it. I loved going to Chapel, and studying catechism. there was a gentle feeling there. I had questions early about the Godhead, and people who died not learning of Christ. Years past and I was driving with friends in L.A. one evening and saw a beautiful building lit up so it glowed and I asked what building it was. My friend, who was LDS said it was a Temple. I said, " I need to go in there", he said you can't, I was upset and he explained why. More years passed, and I continued to attempt to find the truth of Jesus's gospel. I found it when my oldest daughter turned eight years old. I joined the church and was sealed to my husband thrity some years ago. That is why I am a Mormon.. It is true.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by following the Prophet, serving my Ward and the world the best way I can. I am trying to follow Jesus. His example and our Fathers love instruct me, guide me and teach me. I can love all things because I can see the heart, because Jesus sees the heart. He is constant, loving, forgiving, and wise. This is how I am trying to live each day, with constancy, love and forgiveness for myself and others. I fall and with hope in Him he lifts me again and again. I serve in the church with joy and faith that with Christ I can be of good use to my fellow man and my family. I know that with him I can learn and accomplish anything he desires for me to do. My Faith is complete as long as I lean on him and do my best.
