Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate in Electrical Engineering Technology. I proudly served in the U.S.Navy and retired after 21 years of service. I was in the electronics field in the Navy and transitioned into computers after I graduated from college. I now have my own computer software design and development business that I run out of my home. I am married to a wonderful lady from England and we share a "Blended" family of five girls and two boys. I "had" a passion for riding motorcycles, however, after 37 years of riding I received a very strong prompting that I should get off of it, so I decided to sell my bike. I have started a new hobby of playing the guitar. I jog/walk 3.5 miles every other day and on the off days I do an upper body weight lifting exercise. I like building things, both structural and electronic, and I like music from the 70's and smooth jazz.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? An interesting question. I was baptized into a baptist church, along with my family, when I was in high school. I grew up having read some of the New Testament, but not all of it, and I knew there was a God, however, I couldn't grasp the concept of God...who he was, what he was, what he was like, or where he was. Consequently, I pretty much ignored religion most of my early adult life. Also, when I did read the Bible, I became more confused because there were questions that arose that no one could answer in a way that really made sense to me. Such as, where did I come from, why am I here, and what happens to me after this life. Usually the answers were vague or answered with...that's not important for you to know right now. Then one day, the LDS missionaries came to my door. After introducing themselves to me, they ask if I had ever heard of the Book of Mormon. After telling them no, I was asked if I would like to know about it. My interest was peaked so I agreed to let them teach me and as the saying goes...the rest is history. I was baptized over 37 years ago and continue to have questions answered. My learning and my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ increases by the day and I am at peace because I know who my God is, what he is, what he is like, where he is, and what He expects of me. I have a profound love for my Savior, Jesus Christ, what his purpose for coming to earth was, and why he had to die on the cross. And finally, where I came from, why I am here, and what happens to me after this life. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth once again so that all mankind might learn and acquire this same knowledge.

How I live my faith

For me, being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is actually a way of life. I have standards that I live by and goals that I strive for while in this life. I study the scriptures daily, have daily prayer, and have developed a "personal" relationship with my Father in Heaven and his son, my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am not bashful about my faith or my beliefs and I take every opportunity I am given to share what I have found with others. I LOVE BEING A MORMON...BEING SO HAS LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE.
