Hi I'm Kim

I was raised in the church, but didn't really gain a personal testimony of the gospel until I was 19. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am a 40+ mom that loves hanging out with my adult kids. I volunteer ski patrol with my middle daughter (when she is home from college). Shop and cook with my oldest and love to travel with my youngest. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and he still makes me laugh. I teach Jr. High school at a small Montessori school and I love it! My favorite age to be around are the teen years. (I know weird huh?) I snow ski in the winter as often as I can and rollerblade in the summer. I love being outdoors in the sun and usually by a lake or pool if available.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and what he is, the Son of God. I was raised in the church, but wasn't always active. I decided when I was 19 that I either needed to figure out if this religion was for me or not, and then move on. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time and prayed to know if it was the truth. I gained a firm belief that, yes it is true. I just followed the chain of logic. If the book was true that meant that everything else that supports Christ and the testimony of his life in the book is true. You can't pick and choose when it comes to God. Either all of it is from him or none of it. I have had many confirmations of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and every time I feel like I am becoming a better person. I once told a friend that asked me about my being a member that even if I died and found out I was totally wrong and none of it was true, I still felt like my life was all the better for living it anyway.

How I live my faith

I live my beliefs by trying to be a good "Christian". I believe that if we love like Jesus did, without judgement and prejudice towards others the world will be a much better place. I teach Sunday school, 14 and 15 year olds. I volunteer in my community through my school and local ski resort as a patroller. Mostly I live my faith by trying to be a good mom. I believe more than anything that my first responsibility is to my children and family, if we all do that much then everyone would have love in their lives.
