Hi I'm Garrin

I love my family and I work in the computer industry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Nothing is more important to me than my family. My wife and I make all our decisions (employment, where we live, etc.) based on what is best for our family. We love spending time together and building memories that will last forever. I volunteer my time with the Boy Scouts of America. I love programs and organizations, like Scouting, that improve lives. I work as a consultant in the computer industry. It's a demanding job, but the dynamic nature of the work keeps me going.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young boy, my heroes were the men that I was able to interact with at church, including my father. Some of them were the best husbands I had ever seen. Others were great fathers. Many had patience and wisdom. I wanted to be just like these men. Through their examples, and seeing how the church influenced them, I knew my religion was special. As I grew older, I saw the influence the church had on my friends. It confirmed to me that God has a plan for us to be happy. Those who follow the plan find this happiness. I love my church. I love the emphasis the church has on families, as my family is the most important thing to me. The church has programs and activities and teachings that help my family stay close. I love how the church helps me become a better person (honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, etc.). I love the self-reliance concepts that are taught. I especially love the spirit I feel when I make righteous decisions. This Spirit confirms truth. I am grateful that I can feel this Spirit and know that God loves me and that I am following the path to be with him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the Savior's example of service. Whether I am serving for my congregation, for the Boy Scouts, or my family, I feel a pure happiness when I spend my time helping or working with others. I also live my faith by studying the teachings of Jesus Christ every day. Daily study of His word enriches me and inspires me to become a better person.
