Hi I'm Chris Heap

I am a mother of seven children. I love being a stay-at-home mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town with four sisters and 2 brothers. My father was a rancher. My parents taught me how to work hard and be dependable. I have a twin sister who was my constant companion while we were growing up. We are still close today even though we have families in different states. I attended college and received an associate degree. I worked until my husband and I began our family. I enjoy reading good books, sewing and cooking healthy foods. I love being a wife, homemaker, mother to our children and grandmother to our grandchildren. I love genealogy. I love summertime. I enjoy getting to know people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were raised in the Mormon church. I am grateful to them for helping me to know who I am and why I am here. I am grateful that they taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has helped me to see the bigger picture to this life. I am striving to live so that I can live with my Heavenly Father again after this life. When I grew up and began life on my own, I found that the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ gave me a firm foundation and direction to my life. I know that when times are hard I can turn to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to help me through.

How I live my faith

One of the most important things I can do in this life is to serve those people around me. I have been able to teach young children and youth in our church. I enjoy getting to know other women and have had the privilege of helping others when they were ill, adjusting to the birth of a new child or down and out because of life's struggles. Just as important as serving others is allowing others to serve me. Serving in our community has also been very rewarding. I belong to an organization that helps to keep our little hospital running. We help with blooddrives, fundraisers and programs to encourage healthy living. I am trying to pattern my life after the life of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He went around doing good for others.
