Hi I'm Christa

I am a wife, mother, photographer with my own business and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the same house that my mother was raised in. I have a twin sister, who was always getting me into trouble, and an older brother. I grew up in a very, very small town in Idaho. I always wanted to go to school at BYU and after I graduated from High School, with 29 others, my sister and I left to start school at BYU- Provo in the summer semester. School was everything I wanted it to be and then some. Unlike other women at the university I can honestly say that I graduated with my Bachelors Degree before I married my husband, granted it was the day before, but I still graduated. He is the love of my life and we have a life filled with many adventures. Some of which is t the 2 wonderful, active boys in our family that gives us never a dull moment in. My husband has also help me fulfill several of my life long dreams, one of which was studying to become a photographer and now i have my own studio. Photography is a creative outlet for me that i love and enjoy. Another love that we have is travel, as a family we have been to several states in the United States and my husband and I have also been able to go to Australia which has been a lot of fun. In the future I hope to be able to combine my loves of family, photograph and travel as we go to may other places

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS belief. Some of my ancestors were there in the early days of the church and even crossed the plains with the other Saints. When it comes right down to my conversion I guess I have to say that I have always know that the church was true, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. When I was able to stand in the Sacred Grove last year the spirit was so strong there that it witnessed to me that yes I do know the gospel to be true and that the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God. I have also learned thru many challenges in my life that if I need help that all I have to do is ask my Heavenly Father and he will help me. It might not be the way that I wanted Him to help me, but it has been the best for me. I am so thankful that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and sorrows so that I can go back and live with them again someday.

How I live my faith

I have helped out in my ward and community, by being a Primary (the younger children) teacher, I have also been a Cub Scout Den leader and other callings. It is fun to be able to teach the children that are just on the verge of being a teenager. They have some interesting and insightful ideas that help to keep me on my toes. I help in the community by volunteering in my children's school when I am need.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We believe that we are human and therefore apt to make some wrong choices. Therefore to our Heavenly Father had a plan so that we could be forgiven from our sins. That the Atonement of Jesus Christ has made this possible. Our Savior suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross so that if we sincerely repent we can be forgiven.
