Hi I'm Adam

I love pizza. I think I'm funny. I'm married, with two kids and one on the way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California but went to all of grade school in Arizona. I went to three high schools, in three states, in three years. It was a lot of fun, let me tell you. I graduated in 2007, with my Master's Degree in Accounting. I really do enjoy making spreadsheets, for which I'm labeled a nerd. I wear that label proudly. I'm married to the girl I sat behind in Math class in high school. Even though, she doesn't remember, I do. She's my best friend. We have two amazing children that I just can't seem to get enough of (except when they are tired and hungry at the same time) with one more on the way. Since space is limited I'll summarize by saying, I'm a very happily married, father of two (almost three), ping pong loving, pizza eating, basketball playing, spreadsheet making, movie watching, hospital visiting (I'm usually the patient rather than the visitor), current events reading, running just to run hating, grass mowing, house cleaning, couponing and bargain shopping, nerdy accountant who loves more than anything to spend time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. That may sound a cheesy but its true. Happiness seems to be an increasingly rare commodity these days, but with the help of a loving Heavenly Father and His Son, its definitely attainable. I love my wife and our children so much, I would do anything for them. The knowledge that I can be with them again after this life and forever, is such a blessing and comfort. It encourages me to do those things that I know are right but aren't necessarily easy, because I want to be with my family forever. I love knowing and learning more about the plan our Heavenly Father has for us. In a world full of increasing chaos and commotion, I'm so grateful to know that's its all part of a plan and that He is in control, no matter what. It gives me strength and courage to do the easy and especially the hard things in life. It brings me peace to know that someone all-powerful and all knowing, loves me, knows me, and wants the best for me. Ya, I'm a Mormon because it truly makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I try to help out those families or individuals that are going through life's trails or have special needs. My family and I have had several situations where our lives and family have been blessed by the service, love, and care of others. We've always had genuine help when we've needed it. It feels so good to be able to try to give back and pay it forward. I have the opportunity to work with, to teach, and to learn from several of the Fathers in our group. I also get to visit with several families and share spiritual messages with them or just get to know them. Service is so important. While it isn't always convenient to give up your time, it is so rewarding to see the lives you touch and the new friendships you make.
