Hi I'm Roger

I grew up in Southern California. I love the beach, and twitter. I'm a journalist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from southern california and at this time in my life I am in transition. I will be graduating from college in one semester with a major in Broadcast Journalism. I love spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include dancing, reading books and doing some quality shopping (I have an eye for fashion). I’m just a normal guy living my life. My taste in music varies from hip-hop to country. My style is always changing. I believe that life should be enjoyed not just endured.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints my whole life, my parents converted to the faith a month after I was born. I'm Mormon because I have a strong conviction that I have a loving father in heaven, and know in my heart that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I have testimony that The Book of Mormon is scripture just like the bible, and it has brought me closer to God and my family here on earth. Although, I'm not perfect I know that God loves me and he will never cease to love me. I'm a Mormon because I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of love and a gospel of hope. Hope gives me peace to continue on the path. Hope gives me an assurance that things will get better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith trough service. Life is not easy, and we all have different trials we're going through, but I found joy in serving others. Doing service for others has given me a better understanding of life and my purpose in it. I believe in love. I believe that God is a god of love. If there is one thing I'm learning is to love others unconditionally.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Roger
The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints believes are that we should love all and not discriminate against anyone, in this case anyone in the LGBT community. The church does not consider the feelings of same sex attraction a sin. What they do consider a sin is acting on the feelings of same sex attraction. Many say Mormons are against gays and do not love them, but that is not true. Show more Show less
