Hi I'm Kim Hall

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of five married children and grandmother of six little boys, (with two new grandbabies on the way). I have been a stay at home mom and homemaker for 35 years and LOVE being home! My interests including: music, cooking, sewing, quilting, reading, scrapbooking and I like to walk and hike, especially in the mountains. I love being able to spend time with my husband (who is my best friend) and my children, but I've decided being a grandma is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Life is good!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS Church. My dad's family were pioneers who joined the church from its beginning. My mother, on the other hand is a convert. She was born and raised in Geneva Switzerland; she met my dad in Switzerland while he was serving in the military and they were married after he was discharged. We lived in a little town in Wyoming and I was surrounded by my dad's large, mormon family. My faith grew from the examples of loved ones all around me. They lived their religion and instilled in me a sense of honesty and intergrity. I knew that family meant EVERYTHING! I admired and loved my family, but there came a time in my life when I really wanted to know if the gospel was true for myself, not just because all of my family believed. I remember reading the Book of Mormon when I was 14 years old. I wondered if the people I read about were real people. I knelt and asked Heavenly Father for answers to my questions. I didn't really feel anything different, so I continued to read and ask. I think that night I prayed 4 or 5 times, asking for an answer. I will never forget the feeling that finally enveloped me. I knew the book was true. From that time forward I have known that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true Church upon the earth. My testimony came that night many years ago, but it is something that I have continually nourished and strengthened. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and he knows me and loves me. I am so grateful to know that we have prophets and apostles on the earth today, and their guidance and direction has been a blessing in my life. This gospel has brought much joy and happiness into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to practice what I preach. The gospel isn't just something I "do" on Sundays, but is a way of life. I am presently a member of a Young Single Adult Branch - pretty crazy for a middle-aged, married grandma to be a member of a young single adult group! My husband was recently called as the Branch President of this group, so we are privileged to associated with young people 18 to 30 years of age. I get to spend time with these young people and participate in their activities, gospel study programs and worship with them every Sunday. This opportunity keeps me busy and on the go, it is also a chance for me to share some of the lessons I have learned along life's road. One of my most prized possessions is my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ; I have the opportunity to share my testimony of Him with these young people and hopefully help them strengthen their own relationship with the Savior. One of the greatest blessings I have received is how much my faith is strengthened as I share it with others.
