Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Oregon as the youngest of 8. I'm now a wife and mother to my own three, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Oregon as the only girl among 8 children. I studied business at both Ricks College in Rexburg, ID and Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I used my degree in the professional world briefly before having our first child and then happily became a full-time mother, while also managing our family "business" affairs. We now have three children ages 1, 4, and 6. I love to be a mom, try my hand at a few crafty things, and love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where the Gospel of Jesus Christ was faithfully taught and lived. Several of my brothers went on missions that were great examples to me. When I went off to school I was surrounded by people who were solid in the church, and some who were not so much. I had to make choices for myself instead of relying on my parents. I was able to tell the difference between that which was good and that which would harm me by following the promptings of the Spirit in my heart. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I feel that everytime I hear him speak. The Lord has shown His love for me in many ways: from having the church restored today, to answering the smallest prayers of a mother's heart. I know our Savior, Jesus Christ, lives and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly His church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Currently I organize the monthly (weekday) meetings of our women's organization. We put on classes to learn new skills, nights of service for our community and international aid, and to strengthen relationships within our families and as a group. I love to participate in humanitarian work through the Church and in my own community.
