Hi I'm Theresa

I am from New Jersey. I am going to school to become a Social Worker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I want to be a social worker. It is a simple joy of mine to help others reach a higher standard of living. I love to laugh, spend time with my family and friends, and serve others. Here is a quote I really enjoy "A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.” — Irish Proverb

Why I am a Mormon

I know this church has the fullness of the gospel that was on the earth when our Savior, Jesus Christ, was on the earth. During that time He set up His church, after He died His church was lost. Years later Christ's church was restored under His direction by the Prophet Joseph Smith. Christ's church contains all of the elements necessary to give us a solid hope in the after life. Hope brings happiness and happiness is a great thing to have in this life. So simply put- I am a Mormon because the eternal truths that are in this gospel are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying it day by day. It takes a lot of mistakes but I just keep trying. I know that doing the simple things everyday such as studying the scriptures, saying my prayers, and serving others will strengthen and lift me up to be able to apply more principles from the scriptures which brings even more joy into my life. I try to set goals to help me apply the things that the Savior teaches and I try to serve others and truly love them. A quote on service: The service we render others is the rent we pay for our room on earth. -Wilfred Grenfell

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Before joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints you will meet with the missionaries. The missionaries will help you understand the basic beliefs of the church and will help you bring your life more and more into harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ. When you feel you are ready to join the church you will then be able to be baptized by the proper priesthood authority of God. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by that same authority. All of these steps will help you strengthen your faith in God. Show more Show less
