Hi I'm Jenny

I was born in Salt Lake City. I am married & have five children that range in age from 17 years to 18 months old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home-mom that doesn't get to stay at home very often! I spend much of my day getting my children where they need to be, and doing what they need to be doing. I have five children that range in ages from 17 years to 18 months old. We are going through every stage of adolescence all at the same time in my house. Prom dates to potty training and everything in between. It is exhausting some days and exhilarating others. My life right now is so wrapped up in what my children are doing, and what I am doing to help them. I like to spend time with other moms. We sit at the park, meet at the bus stop, or go on morning walks and give support to each other as we try to be the best moms we can be. When there is a spare minute for me to do whatever I want to do I like to be creative. I love to make crafty things to decorate my house or scrapbook precious memories of my family so that we can look back and remember the fun times we have had together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I remember as a young child, attending church on Sunday and just soaking it all in. I felt so happy and joyful when I attended church. I have always had this feeling. It is just part of who I am. As I grew up and my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew also, I developed a deep love and understanding of the church. I have had many experiences in my life where I have had to make choices and need direction. Everytime I pray to my Heavenly Father, He has blessed me with a peaceful feeling that helps me to know that He knows me and will answer my prayers. The most important thing in my life is my family. I have a testimony of Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness. This plan is for us to live as families on earth and if we live righteously and obey the commandments, we can be sealed together as a family forever. This is an amazing concept. I love my family so much and I want to live with them forever. Everyday I try to raise my childrend so that they can make good choices. I want them to be as happy as I am and I believe that living the gospel can make them happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to raise righteous children. We have Family Home Evening once a week. This is protected family time that we spend together. We sing songs, play games, tell stories, read scriptures and just have fun being together. I am also very protective of dinner time. We aren't perfect at it, but we try to eat dinner as a family at least 5 times a week. We all work together to prepare for the meal and we all help clean up when we are done. It gives us a chance during the day to catch up on what everyone is doing and set goals and find ways to help each other out in the coming days. We also read scriptures and pray as a family. This is my favorite time with my family. I love listening to my children read about great prophets and hearing inspiring stories from the scriptures. It often leads to discussions and thought provoking questions about how we can do better in our own lives. I treasure this time together.
