Hi I'm Susan

My husband and I have two boys and love living in Colorado. We enjoy doing everything together including being Mormons.

About Me

I grew up in a small mountain town. I have five sisters and we all can still be found enjoying downhill skiing. I have always loved to be outdoors. In addition I love to share memories by creating scrapbooks, and movies. I like to try new recipes and invent new things to cook. I graduated from college with a degree in Civil Engineering. I have since started a structural engineering business. I'm married to an amazing guy! We have two boys who keep us laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel blessed to be raised by parents who are Mormons. They taught me about Heavenly Father and Jesus and the plan that they have for me. They taught me that I am a daughter of God and He loves me! God knows who I am, He knows me by name. These few sentences bring so much peace to me life. I know that through prayer I can talk to my Heavenly Father and he hears my prayers. Now that I have Children, I'm grateful that I have Christ's teachings as a guide to raise my children.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon means you apart of an extended family. And we help each other grow and learn. Currently I teach the 12-18 year old girls. I really love spending time with these girls because they are really good examples for me. :) We are taught about Jesus Christ and try to follow His example. As a family we try to help our neighbors and friends. We also look for ways that our family can help the community, by volunteering in the schools, and bringing meals to those in need and visiting friends who need to be "lifted up". It is really sweet to hear my two young boys say, "I think we need to bring dinner to the 'Smith' family, I think it will make them happy."
